With Femap you can import CAD and FEA models from a wide variety of sources allowing you to transfer modeling data over from other platforms. However, the independent import paths for the CAD and FEA models break any associativity there may have been between the model types previously which limits some modeling capabilities. In this video you can see how to restore associativity between CAD and FEA entities in Femap.
