Soundbite From Tech-Clarity’s Jim Brown
Jim Brown of Tech-Clarity attended our analyst event this week. In this video soundbite he shares some of his recent research on product complexity, social innovation and systems engineering.
“One of the things I’m really paying a lot of attention to right now… is mechatronics and systems engineering. If you look at the products today, they’re getting smarter. We’re having a lot more functionality based on the software than on the mechanics… The number of software engineers is growing compared to mechanical and electrical engineers.”
He also shares some of his takeaways from the event.
“The customer presentations were great. I really enjoyed the Lightcar presentation on Solid Edge. It was great fun story but also had some great examples on the use of technology…and why they can do some things with Solid Edge with Synchronous Technology that others can’t.”
